Out of all the parts I have changed on my 1972 Commando, I missed changin the rear brake adjusting nut - 5/16" UNF Nyloc - to my cost.
Out on a road test the bike was runing as it should, or so I thought.
The rear brake adjusting nut was worn out and moving inwards tightening up the rear shoes until they started to bind and heated up mealting the cush drive buffers.
Now off the road, waiting for cush drive buffers and that naughty nut!
