Inner tube recommendation post.

Have you guys a particular fav? I ask as I've just got my wheels back from a re-lace.

That and any pref's to rim tape.

Cheers,

Steve

Totally out of keeping with the bike I'm afraid but Bridgestone BT45's. Latest Avons, AM26 OK but give me a squirmy feel regardless of pressure. Just gone back to BT45 on the rear (unworn AM26 on the front will take forever to wear out).

Hegel is asking for inner tube (and rim tape) recommendations, not tyres.

Any well known brand, nothing made in China or India though increasingly it's difficult to find anything not made in China or india

Harley dealers carry quality Made in Japan Dunlop tubes and rim strips that are the right size for Commandos, I have had good results with them
(AND a Dunlop front tire that fits too (I'm using one since I picked it up for $50) , a 90/90-19, but that is for another thread ;-)

That told me .........apologies. I did only register the subject and didn't manage to do that properly. It's the way my brain? works these days or doesn't.

No worries, Keith. :) My comment was only intended to draw attention to the fact that the thread was not about tyres, and thus prevent others from jumping onto the bandwagon and turning it into a(nother  ) tyre/tire thread.

you mean there is more than one way to spell TIRE

No problem but what's wrong with another tyre (ire!) thread?? Keeps the subject fresh!!

For you colonial fellows;

World English Dictionary tyre or ( US ) tire (ˈtaɪə)

— n
1. tubeless tyre cross-ply See also radial-ply a rubber ring placed over the rim of a wheel of a road vehicle to provide traction and reduce road shocks, esp a hollow inflated ring ( pneumatic tyre ) consisting of a reinforced outer casing enclosing an inner tube

Actually... I don't have room to talk either, being of the colonial persuasion also.
