From FB. Like both the steering stem nut and the Monza cap. Neither functional improvements but hey, anything that adds to the look of the bike and it’s period authenticity! Not for everybody I grant. Apparently the adapter for the cap was milled for the task. The steering stem nut is from an old Harley - not sure how I feel about that. We’ve discussed the Monza cap before and concluded that it was’nt really possible (clearly it is) and looked slightly wrong being central and not offset as in older model examples. You decide.

Mmmm!

Thanks. Looks like the Halcyon 830. Excellent mirrors, I have them on my Morini. Torn between these and the new Motogadget m.View Cafe. BTW did someone come up with a blanking screw for whats left on the clipons ?

Fast Eddie. Getting some zipper and jeans scuffs on my tank. Whos the guy that make the tank protector that "you know who" designed?;) I would like that without any 50th anniversary logo. Just black with a gold brit flag. No edge. Or maybe that "made in England" iconic italic font like on the T140D. Keep your social distancing at about 75 mph, Mate.

The Halcyons are nice, I had a look at them but was drawn to the Rizomas. Quality is outstanding. Rizoma master cylinders next. Bugger the kids inheritance, they can earn their own money!

I have the polished stainless 830's on my CR and the black stainless 830's on my FTR, superb mirrors. I bought a l/h stainless allen head from China to plug the old mirror mounts, couldn't source any in the UK. I think Fast Eddie found another source in anodised alloy which are much nicer looking.

Any pics of the mirrors on the CR?

Halcyons definitely the best but on the 961CR they really must point downwards not poking up like your kid sister's Deely Boppers.

Style over function maybe but anyone who thinks otherwise probably thinks the Niken is the future of motorcycling......

I have them pointing up on my Morini. Function over form for me. Plus my eyesight aint what it used to be and riding in NYC traffic you need good mirrors.

As its a Morini I forgive you, and sure in NYC you can look seriously uncool embedded into the hood of a yellow cab.....

I had mine pointing down for a while, looked great but all I could see were my knee caps or the daisies growing on the side of the road so it's function over form for me too :)

Had mine down too at one point until I realized that I was taking my eyes and peripheral vision from the one place they should always be looking, Ahead of you !!

I guess from the thundering silence that the forum does`nt think much of the faux steering stem nut or the monza cap? Don’t mind the look of either but I suppose they add weight with no addition functionality. Point made guys, without saying a word lol!

I do like the stem nut and would put one on mine. I like monza caps, but I'd want one that completely replaces to original.

You get my vote on the steering nut - I would definitely go for asomething different but perhaps a round one?
