Blimey, that looks nothing like mine:D But I would have been a guaranteed customer for a Nomad and nowt to do with brand loyalty etc, but simply because the Bike looked good and sounded like they were going to be well built and at a realistic price. Hey Ho. But on reflection, Garner was a Con Man with no interest in Bikes and just wanted to steal peoples cash !!

Hope what BDO is saying is true:

“We have had a significant volume of interest and are hopeful that a sale of Norton Motorcycles (UK) Ltd can be secured.”

Keep the staff, keep production in the UK, then fire SG, and have security escort him to the parking lot.

Maybe something good will come out of all this.
A new Company owner who isnt a scammer will want to sort the 961. There's plenty of buyers out there if the bike is made reliable.
Doesn't sound like it would take all that much to do.

It would take what was never there from day one.
Dreams are free, reality costs.

Hopefully some entity with both integrity and capital will save the day after having a chat with John Bloor. (Net Worth : 1.8 billion USD (2020)

Wouldn’t a buyer need to make good on all the missing money? Might be a rather expensive purchase of a name.

961 is done for. European Emissions killed it off a long time ago. It's a zombie at this point, it just doesn't know it's dead.

That name has been bought and sold many time over the years.

Numbers of money lost is $30-50MM if you count bike deposits...that was my point about the name. Buyer would have to make good on the lost money. I’m fully aware that the name has been bought and sold many times.

I find it amusing that all of a sudden when all this Norton news hit the fan, we have new faces here and everyone is a freaking know it all.

I think it will be a hard sell to find a buyer, but I hope I’m wrong.

If the cost is $30-50 million, then that’s just the price to start back up at zero - with nothing.

No inventory, no orders, no suppliers, no dealers, nothing that the factory needs to make money.

On top of that, the “new” Norton Company would start out as the laughing stock in the motorcycle industry due to all the horrible revelations that we have all read in the press to date. That image will be very difficult to overcome.

For sure any future buyer will have to be someone who enjoys a major financial challenge. And yeah, maybe a bit of a masochist too.
