Hi gang. I would like to know who the best, old school, lives, breathes and has experienced every Norton problem know to Norton experts worldwide.

Can't start the bike. And I have tried everything known be me and 3/4s of you guys.

When the bike runs it runs amazing. Idles perfect, shifts great and excellerates amazing.

Maybe its me. 3/4 of the time I just can't get the ole girl to start. Not like when I was young and I could get them all started!

Any references would be appreciated. Thank guys,

Doug

you do know that the socal norton club is one of the largest norton clubs in the US, i'm sure if you were to contact some of the members, maybe drop in at one of their frequent meeting etc, they could probably steer you in the right direction w/ advice etc etc as they are a good group of guys (present company being the exception)

will they mind if I stop in riding a Triumph Thruxton?

No, all bikes are welcome
Bib - the grand-poobah of the group has a garage full of nortons in various states of repairs and would be the one to pick his brains for potential problems what 2 look @, and he works on bikes for guys in the club/LA area that have problems and can't figure it out - he rides usually a 650SS norton or a red 850 commando

i typical ride my cafe commando n and have rebuilt 4-5 nortons (and many other britsih bikes that i sometimes wonder why i let go), and while not an expert by any means, am always happy to help too

there are other members with advice, etc, etc that are always willing to help too

there is a lunch/beer get together this sunday (27th ) at 2 at the oinkster (yum!) on colorado blvd in eagle rock if you can make it, if not other times are posted on the web/farcebook

I'll be there

Id think if it wont fire off instantish on a roll start , ( downhill - cold ) there might be something requireing adjusting .
Std. with a fit young strappling , a determined approach is neccesary . Or a determined electric starter .
