Norton Riders...

The guy in the first video is a bit smarter. A Manx Norton is a genuine racer. With any motorcycle, the rider adapts to the bike - if the bike is good, you will be good. I once rode a very good 1961 Manx. Until then, I did not know why they are so fast when compared with other racing motorcycles. I found I could ride it much faster in corners than my 500cc short-stroke Triton, because of its smooth power delivery and the way it could accelerate through corners. With a Triton, the weight distribution is always wrong. When you accelerate a Triton mid-corner, it never feels as good as a Manx. And with mine, if the revs dropped out of the power-band, I was stuffed. I had to go into corners fast and keep riding fast. There was always the risk of hitting another bike. A Manx is much more versatile.
