Norton racer

The sticker on the tank says it is.

Well, at least the sticker is Norton...

(this is being discussed in at least two other threads)

I don't understand, unless I read it wrong they are running a Aprillia motor? Are we calling it a "AprillTon"?? I want to see Norton racing again but with Norton motors. What's next, a Honda motor??

It's a Spandon frame Aprilla V4, with the Norton features of extra adjustable engine mounts and swing arm to try to get it to work right, then of course the decal is definitely our favorite brand. Does not compute to me either, running a Ford with a Chevy emblem on it. If it places well, should help Aprilia sales.

A shame it's not a Norton engine. I assume it's a stopgap until they develop their own competitive engine — if the company succeeds, and I hope it does. I suppose it would be prohibitively expensive for a tiny firm like Norton at the present time. Even Aprilia outsourced engines from Rotax in Austria.

Hi

Had a trip to the Norton factory 30th March this year. must say I was very impressed with the quality of the bikes, If I was a rich man then one would be next on the list.
It was a very honest and interesting tour and I found all the staff were very up front with all things asked.

Hope It all works out.

Neil.

Of course its a Norton.
Obviously not a production motorcycle, so anything goes. All things considered, its great to see them doing this. Good luck!
