Norton 961 OEM Spares

As TVS Norton will have little or no interest in the 961 of any variant in the coming years, I feel they should come to some agreement with a third party to manage and sell spares. Andover Norton for example, however I don’t think they are on the best of terms with them.

That would be wonderful - if it ever happened with either Andover, or Norvil.
Doesn't cost a thing to try, just the possible embarrassment of being told no.

This may be distasteful, but possibly when Norton finally end 961 production it will be a signal to Jinlang or Zhongshen to introduce a 961 model. That could lead to a source of spares for the 961.

Maybe now, but a few years back it was possible order parts directly from the factory. Might still be possible.

Hi Ken , My last successful OEM parts purchase was from Sollihul in 2023 . Parts purchased were clutch hub and basket , L and R rocker towers and camshaft. At that time I was told by Norton to go to Judd for parts moving forward. I wish some others would find out if this still holds true . Judd has been a disappointment for me. I have reached out to them on the email listed and actually got a response with prices once . But no parts ever got shipped. I have yet to get a response now from Judd. I suspect that even Judd doesn’t like ordering parts from Norton . If a UK owner could find out for us if it is even possible to order parts any longer , this would help greatly. Whether from the factory or dealer please let us know. This brings me to my final point. Norton could have had a customer for life with me , but now I will just be one of many who will frown when TVS Norton are mentioned.

Don’t say that too loud, that’s a lot of negativity and unnecessary here on a Norton forum, It ruffles feathers.

I guess it all boils down to someone "over there" walking into Judd and trying to request 961 parts.
*** With a Solihull 961 serial number.
*** Without a Solihull 961 serial number (for Donington orphans.)
And see how far they get.
Anyone game enough?
