Greetings, all. I have been on the InterNet for some time, but I have just found this Forum. I have been on the Brit-Iron list since the days of Charles Falco and Ultan Guilfoil. I am a long time member of the Nation's Capitol Norton Owners club. `I currently own:
1975 e-start
1974 Roadster basket case
1971 Roadster disassembled for storage
1970 "S"
1968 Fastback in the original red
1963 Atlas
1963 Electra
1960 Model 50
and the best part of an 1960 ES2 being built as a 1961 Slimline version.

No Commando questions at the present, but I hope to give as much as I get.

What is the history of this Forum? How long has it been around? Are the members primarily from the UK or the US? That sort of thing.

Welcome Commandodave,

I'd say that the highest proportion of forum members live in the USA, followed by the UK. Then Australia, Canada and Europe, - not necessarily in that order, however, many of our members do not choose to enter their location details in their profile; - unfortunately.

The website belongs to Jerry Doe, and it appears to have started up in May 2003 (according to the date of Jerry's membership?)

You can go right back to the fist page (p105 at present) so it's possible to follow the history of the forum from the very first post made in October 2003 to the present day.

Which Hume? The one by Alexandria, or the one out 66? I live about 25 miles NW of Baltimore. Will you be attending the British & European bike meet in Germantown this May? Norton and AMC motorcycles are the featured marques. The Nation's Capitol Norton Owners are meeting in the Hard Times Cafe in Bethesda the second Sunday in March at 1:00 PM. Why not swing by and meet a group of fellow enthusiasts?

And a hello from the west coast. Sounds like you have a lovely Norton collection.

No joke, that Norton collection sounds like my Triumph collection...
