You've got that right. They say a new Airbus pilot says "What is it doing" where as an experienced Airbus pilot says "Its doing that again"

Josh:

For 10 years at Boeing, I was a simulation engineer in Crew Training. I started out on the gargantuan Conductron 747-200 simulator, of which only four were built, then got involved in programming followed by several years being the engineer working on buying new simulators. I transferred to Customer Engineering, where I was the contact for engineering guys at a number of customer airlines. I ended up being the "VIP airplane guy", doing personal airplanes for various big-wigs.

I finally got fed up of the travel. My final year, I spent 29 weeks out of country and none of those trips was longer that 10 days! I retired a few weeks short of my 57th birthday.

The flying gig would be pretty good if it wasn't for all the travel!

I've seen the Conductron's, they were huge. Closest thing I came to that was on old 747-200 sim we used to use at the UAL training center in DEN. The -400 guys would scoff at us as we lumbered into that antique....still loved the classic though. Speaking of, I get to go next month to my annual week of "dial a disaster" recurrent sim training...good times. I know what you mean about being out of the country though, when I flew cargo we went out for 16-18 days and would normally make it around the globe 2-3 time, that can wear on you.
