New "Norton"

Good news..........I was lucky enough to ride one last month at the Rock Store, the owner was a French guy named Stephan, he had it imported to France & then to California, I was riding my MK3, he had never ridden an "older" Norton & I had only sat on the new one at the show in Long Beach last year, always wondering what they would feel like.........Well we traded bikes for a short ride I felt honored, At least I actually rode one.....It would be great to own both funds permitting. Stephan did comment on the Lack of Brakes on mine!...even with upgraded M/C etc. it does not compare to the anchors on that bike. Tried posting a photo, but had some problems

so manx850, how about a "road test" report on the new Norton?

can you tell us your impressions, handling, power output?

As I said it was a short ride with the owner following me, I was asked not to rev too high, the motor was still running in. The whole thing felt completely foreign compared to our bikes.....At lower RPM I felt it vibrated more than my bike, no doubt this would get better at higher revs. They are great looking, good attention to detail, excellent finish on metal & paint. I also noticed they used two different Norton logos, The one on the tank seems to be the newer one where the N goes through the "t" and the crossbar is eliminated, The ones on the instruments are the more common type used on Commando tanks...This sort of stuff stands out to me as I am in the Signs & Graphics business...................I would really like to own one...Thanks to Stephan, if he looks at this post.......
