need a user manual...

Philippe

Well ok I see that the smoke can be replaced but how do you get the flames back inside the wires where they belong?

I've seen that before...

I think its a hoax!

They say British Bikes delayed installing starters for such a long time because these devices consume large quantities of smoke, requiring large, unsightly wires.

Remember,

'A gentleman does not motor about after dark'

Lucas 3-way switch off-flicker-dim

Optional 3-way switch off-smolder-smoke

Lucas invented the intermittent wiper

First effective anti-theft device was the Lucas ignition

I've got dozens of them.

Lucas is an acronym for Loose Unsoldered Connections and Splices.

Here's text-photo instructions on refilling by captive NOS Lucas smoke jar/

Handy expedient chart to memorize.

I can kick myself for letting these two switches get away from me, in proper Bakalite to boot. Point me at any you might stumble on please.
The three-position Lucas switch -- DIM, FLICKER and OFF.
The other three switch settings -- SMOKE, SMOLDER and IGNITE.
