Hi.
To day, after a good riding of 240 km, when i was 10 km from home, the bike switched off.
No more fire to the spark plug, but good battery, fuse, chargied with lighht and horn working.
Bike has two Lucas MA 6 and a new Pazon Sure Fire fitted.
I will check coils, key switch, Pazon, white wires that powered I.E. .
When the bike stopped the lights were on fron 30 km.
Suggestion please?
Thanks.
Piero

My atlas did that, it was ethanol in the fuel disolved the tank liner which coated the plugs and stopped them dead, but I doubt thats what stopped your bike, far too simple.

Well Piero, it's obviously a fault within the electrical circuit. I bet either broken wire(s) or poor grounding. It's unlikely for both coils to fail at the same time.
Start checking connections at the Sure Fire stator.

Hi Knut,
i was lucky that the fault was 10 km only from home.
A friend pushed me with another bike.
I usually use Pazon and never have had a failure.
Tomorrow i will check.

Hi.
Found the problem.
One coil was fault, those with the black wire from Pazon I.E. fixed on negative.
Easy to change, but remain the question why it happened.
Could be too mouch charging with zener or rectifier fault?.
Thank you.
Piero
