I came to the conclusion many years ago that the factory muffler clamps were rubbish.Consequently, I went looking and found these which I have been using trouble free for many years and miles.
Muffler clamps

I have been through a couple by twisting the bolt heads off when I got enthusiastic. They are stainless. That's just a little pocket knife it is resting on, not part of the clamp. 39-41 mm is the size. A very rigid fix.

Where did you get them?
Ah. Sorry. I got them from a place called Couplers here in Perth who deal in all sorts of fluid transfer stuff. I bought my first lot from a rural/industrial suppliers in country WA. Shouldn't be too hard to track down. Only about AU$8.00 each.

Q: What can be better than a stainless steel clamp?
A: No clamp at all.

I really like Armour's mirror-polished stainless steel exhaust pipes and silencers.
One of the neat features of the pipes is that no clamps are required.
On each pipe there are two welded-on horse shoe shaped bolt clamps.
These are fastened by a simple nut and bolt to retain the silencer:

They make the whole exhaust system look much neater:

I have been using then style clamp on all my British bikes for over 42 years and yes they are good clamps and have never had any problems at all with them, but the ones I use have no spot welds at all, can't remember where I got them from as its been many years since I have needed to buy them, I sill have some stached up in my shed, I have a tin full of them, some are SS and some are chrome.
I have had a few header pipes made up from a muffler shop that had a Mandle bender I think I may have got them from that shop, its still there but they no longer have the Mandle bender and the owner who was good with the Mandle bender has past away did all his bending by eye he made my header for my Featherbed over 37 years ago and they are still hanging in there.

Might be neat, but not as rigid.

I got some like the OP here in the US, they were called 'Moose' clamps. If anyone wants to know, I can look up the receipt, I probably still have it. They are nice, you can bend the pipes with them. I had some similar called 'Omega' clamps from Clubman, but the 'nuts' were aluminum and didn't hold up. I still had to buy Allen heads for the Moose clamps. Moose is on the right in this pic. Left is the omega I think.

For those of you in the UK, Keihan Systems offers stainless clamps in 38mm and 40mm, extensively for BMW, but they clamp well on silencers compatible with 1 3/8" and 1 1/2" header pipes; they use 8mm hex bolts.

Ya I’ve been using similar ones too, can’t remember where they came from but any good hardware store should have them.

I have the same bought in a hydraulic shop in Berlin years ago.
They put pressure around the whole circumference (spelling?) of the join.

They look like integral crossover pipe clamps. Someone handy with a tig torch could easily incorporate them to a peashooter, if re-chroming was in the cards.

IIRC, those came standard with Dunstall exhausts bzck in the day.

The muffler on my bike is aluminium and came from a friend who was making after-market four-into-one exhaust systems for Japanese race bikes. The clamps are simply-formed strips of steel held at the ends by 8mm bolts with no extra weight added. They are effective, but I don't know where I would get replacements these days. Nobody seems to be making after-market exhaust systems any more. The clamps are almost impossible to make properly, if you have not got the press and the die.
