Most interesting Norton Commandos I've ever seen...

Saw this Commando yesterday at the Isle of Man Norton Rally...

Also saw this one

BUT... they are the SAME motorcycle - right side vs left side!!!

Seems we differ on the definition of "interesting" - unless you mean, it's interesting that that thing actually is a functional machine.

Ohh - one side is the black one and the other side is the blue piece of shite!

Was the owner dressed in a similar fashion?

Sadly, I never saw the owner. No one but numerous picture takers were standing around the bike which drew more attention/photos than any other Norton there. I looked around but didn't see anyone in "unusual" attire. I would have liked to talk to him - I thought it must have been a lot of work to "create" that particular Commando...but in re-thinking maybe it took only 1/2 the normal amount of work!!

To the owner, the "value" doesn't matter!

It's the effect similar to craving "likes" on your posts on fecebook. He gets lots of "likes"!

Well,

I Like it!!

Here's why, First glance on the left I noticed the tires were good. Strained really hard to see the chain because that will say alot.
Couldn't see it. Since it was ridden there had feeling it was in really good nick. Have to admit, the ending fooled me.
I digress, Years ago Riding dirt in a Local hot spot, Jawbone Canyon, there was this guy in the next camp who was a little,
shall I say OFF. He reminded me of Albino Bob in "Judge Roy Bean' Movie,
His bikes looked like old semi abused junk. One specifically was an Old KTM 550 2 stroke.
My camp was loaded with CR500's including me.
I took off to climb a moderate hill, I knew he was around, he came up over on the right about 10yards, looked over at me,
popped a wheelie, took is left hand off to flash the piece sign and then proceeded to ride most of the way on the rear tire.
I was blown away.

Later on I cruised over to look his KTM over, torn seat, clapped out paint and plastics....Looks like a Pile....
But... Fresh tires, good brake rotors, no spooge at the head or muffler, perfectly lubed and adjusted chain..
This bike was in good nick.. Ran into him at a KTM shop years later, he told me CR500's were his favorite prey...
YUP, he was still weird....

So much for the drift... Carry on.....
