Hi Gents, working with Grant Tillers Jan 2020 Mk11 1971 - 74 electrical diagram - 1972 American spec Combat- are these top most extreme two wires, Blue/white & Yellow /white connected to the Ballast Resistor. BR?

fitting a 12v single coil understand BR taken out of loop, would Blue/white & Yellow /white connect together - seems according to diagram they should connect together?

Understand from previous discussion, 2x Yellow /white connect to negative side of single coil, and 2x yellow/black & white
/black connect to Earth, because I'm running points still there is a wasted spark, and that's okay.

New loop also has 2 cut wires, no end connection. Brown/blue & red - is this for power socket? The power socket will be redundant - suggestion as to deal with these wires.

Horn wire, purple/black - short wire located near main loom- will add a small horn near BR position- suggestions for wiring to new horn? Thank you in advance, the forum advice is simply the best. Regards

Yes there would be a white/blue [WU] and white/yellow [WY] (although the original colour would have been white/purple) connected to the ballast resistor.

If I understand correctly you are attempting to use a 12V dual output coil with points so white/blue and white/yellow ballast connections could be joined together.

You'd only need one white/yellow and either the black/yellow or black/white connected to both sets of points and one condenser so not directly to Earth.

Yes they would be for the power socket so insulate them if they are not going to be used.

in series - one after other - so as you say above, one white/yellow and either the black/yellow or black/white connected to both sets of points and one condenser - will achieve this? Thanks so much L.A.B.
