Having a stalling issue choke off with my 79 D with MKII carbs. Runs good for a while, then pffft. Starts right up. Can nurse it with the throttle. Cut to the chase, my floats are turning to mush due to ethanol. Luckily "I know a guy" that will order and install new ones. AND I use StarTron and or marine grad StaBil to try to avoid such problem.
Any one else experience this?

Don't know about MkII but Concentrics now have gone to ethanol proof floats.
Not sure which model you have but look here:

Changed the floats. One was half full of fuel with now cracks or visible holes. Odd.
Main petcock was also warped from ethanol and partially l. Replaced all. It was a host of problems caused by age and ethanol. Ignition switch and a coil too.
She's running flawlessly at the moment

Been said before but worth repeating... a sweet running T140 is a sweet thing indeed !
