Can anyone tell me the length of the MK3 headlight spacer (06.6547) for the 7" headlight (99.7098)? The MK3 I'm building came without them and I have such things made in the US especially now with tariffs.
7/16" long although the Mk3 part number is 06-6547 the length appears to be the same as the previous 06-2035 spacer and is what mine are although there appears to have been some disagreement over the length of these spacers in the past.

It does seem to me that the length would be the same as long as the distance between the fork centers is the same. The last ones I had made were copied from my MK2A, 310311. They were .810" OD, drilled for the 7/16" bolts, and .460 long (thick). But I also have a 74 MK2 where they are .438" (7/16") long. Both look fine, but I haven't yet checked for parallel.
It may be that the MK3 number changed for a different OD or just because.
At any rate, if you are using 7/16" and the fork ears are parallel - that's good enough for me! Thanks!
Instead of a custom size, I can save money going with a standard size like 3/4" OD, drilled for 7/16" bolt, and 7/16" long.
Mine are chromed, I'm not sure if that's the original finish but it could explain the change of part number as Cad plating was being phased out in the UK and now impossible to have such things done in Cad due to the health risks.
As one of the leading electroplating companies in the UK, EC Williams was one of the electroplating manufacturers that had to adapt to the fall of cadmium
