I obviously don't have this photo thing figured out. I'd appreciate advice from anyone more knowledgeable.

I suggest you try uploading your photos to Photobucket http://photobucket.com/ and then inserting the 'Img' addresses.

I can paste those addresses to my browser, but they are no more than small thumbnails.

Thanks Dave...excellent photos.

I can't see any photos.

Still no comments on the Old Brit version vs. the Dave Taylor heim joint type? Bueller?

A fw people have told me to go with the Taylor heim joint type over the old brits style. The Dave Taylor looks way easier to install anyway, but the Old Brits one looks better, and is almost twice the price.

Reviving this old thread to see if anyone out there has any views on the Taylor versus Old Britts head-steadies. Thanks - Brian

I just bught one from Clubman, it's a Taylor. It's a good one. That's all I know.

I fitted the first link head steady to my Commando in 2003. It's never been re-adjusted since and only had a little drop of oil now and again. It truly has been up to now a fit and forget unit . An unexpected advantage I've found is the ISO's stay in spec a lot longer. I've yet to adjust mine for wear in the 15000 to 20000 miles its been fitted. It must reduce the loading on the PTFE washers by preventing the motor /rear wheel unit from twisting.
