Hi Babaos

Reversed head 8 valve! Now that is something I have never seen!
I did try & reverse the head on my Triton 6t engine I had lots of trouble with the exhaust run & gave up. Still see it at the drag strip (classic sprinting) but very rare.

I wouldn't of noticed the reversed 8 valve head w/o it being pointed out above so I enlarged those photos. That some bragging rights that please us all.

As you can see, there is some turnover depending on what sort of projects and activities I'm obsessing about at the time.

When not in the shop, the projects are shuffled around in a couple trailers and a 40" shipping container. It may not look like it, but I'm really trying to downsize and simplify things a bit. Easier said than done.

Ken, that looks very full. I love it.
The side load garage makes access easy. My shop is end load, a little harder to move stuff around.
I'll have to get some pictures tomorrow.
Do you ride the Blast? I got one this year for my wife, so Far i'm the only one to ride it. Talk about a buzz box.
How is yours to ride. Hers hates low rpm operation, sees I have to wring it out to get anywhere comfortably.

I have ridden the Blast a couple times, but mostly I got it for my grandson. He just got his m/c learners permit in June, and I promised to buy a bike for him so we could do some riding together. The Blast is a great bike for a new rider, and he liked the looks (!), so I bought it. He also uses it to commute to the local community college a couple days a week. We'll probably sell it after he gets his full license this month, and pick up something a bit more powerful. The Blast is fun, but lacks the horsepower for Socal freeway traffic. He's anxious for a chance to ride my Norton, but I have been holding off until he gets more riding experience. I think he's there now, so he'll probably have that unique Norton experience soon. Should be entertaining.

Yes, you do have to rev it a bit in the upper gears or it drops off the torque curve when you shift. It's quite good at low speeds, as long as it's in the right gear. If you lug it down in the higher gears, it just doesn't have enough grunt. When we bought it, it had a pipe on it, and I did have to jet it up a bit to get it to run properly. They came from the factory with main and pilot jets that were on the lean side, probably for emissions reasons, and that just gets worse with a pipe. But it is a fun bike, and amazingly good at corners, until things start to drag.

In the basement, no less. Had to take a run at the stairs to get the machine(s) up into the parking lot. Dog won't go down there anymore now, scares him too much.

Very nice, Wolfie. Every gear head should have their own barn.

Stillreel, hang in there. After sharing the family garage with a car for most of my life, I finally managed to find a place out in the county to build my own shop behind a small house. My racing buddy at the time was a general contractor, who helped me build it on a real budget. It took me until I was 48 years old to have this shop, but I've been enjoying it ever since. The shop is almost 23 years old now.

It seems like all of that grass to mow would seriously cut into the motorcycle riding time.

PAVE IT ALL! - that's my motto!
 
I don't mow it. It's my parents place, my mom enjoys the 4 hours of cutting she has. The Blue 50HP New Holland with a 84" finishing mower in the pole barn makes quick work of the 6 acres of grass.
 
I work in a spare bedroom that has a walkout. I'm not even going to include a picture.

Not much longer to go in my spacious shop & garage; if things keep moving along as they are now, we'll be in a manicured neighborhood, probably with no more than a 2-car garage.

Such as it is, it's a block building with 2 standard bays with 8' overhead doors (mostly regular riders under covers and some fishing & camping gear storage), my small office with a window unit A/C, and 2 houshold / lawn maintenance storage rooms. Connected by a passageway cut into the middle of the back of the block wall is a metal building composed of 2 deep bays with 8' overhead doors (bulk of the collection that doesn't get ridden much), and one slightly narrower deep bay with two single-swing doors for my shop / parts storage. The back 12' of the shop is enclosed by a sliding plywood partition, and cooled by another window unit A/C. Out back is a lean-to shed roof the length of the steel building with the scruffiest of the collection gathering dust.

This area now has a heavy duty suspended shelf for large parts storage (wheels, fenders, fairings, etc)

The shop area; here you can see the suspended shelf on the left, same as the one I installed later in the other section of the garage. This one has another shelf below, with space to slide big parts tubs underneath, 1 or 2 for each active project; the shelf in the other section has room to roll bikes under it.
