Don, when will the sleeve kit be available, i have the RGM in Bike #1 would be happy to try yours in Bike # 2 with you front slider and disk set?
I have several spare M/c's
Regards Mike

It will be awhile before the mastercylinder kits are available in volume. one of the members here has been testing one for a while, I'm sending another one to Australia this week for some more testing, when I get his feedback and it being positive then it should be all go. If you need one urgently and wish to fit the sleeve yourself then I can supply one almost immediately.
The 320mm disc brake kit will be a while yet. Brents tank is one of mine,

I have the first proto type 1/2 inch resleeve kit that Don ( madass) has developed. It,s mounted on my MK3 and works very very well !!! I,am looking for braided steel lines to replace the rubber ones for the MK3. Any Ideas !! Thanks Hershey

It's a simple mater of physics. The smaller the M/C piston, the more force on the caliper piston. While it is true that the smaller the M/C piston the greater distance it has to move to create the same movement of the caliper piston. I don't know of what restriction you are referring to, but you could have a totally unobstructed M/C with a 1" hose between the M/C and caliper and it won't brake one damn bit better. The only thing that will change is the volume of fluid in the system. The stock Norton M/C is grossly oversized for optimum braking. Even in Arkansas.

Mr. JimmyC, I have no misunderstandings on the obvious fluid pressure and hose or hole flow resistance principles, and can go into detail on why i'm not using a hydraulic transmission system as Ms Peel's main drive but why it could work out well on her front wheel. Logically one would assume that the tiny restrictor valve hole would-could Only Delay the pressure from hand lever to pads a fraction of a second, but not actually reduce the full pressure on pads - Yet w/o the pin hole it made most of the dramatic improvement I got from Peel's smaller master cylinder with race lever plus SS braid on lightest machined out factory Norton disc fielded. You my dear sir are just missing my experimental facts under belt to understand that something else is going on. No one else I know of has tried it. I testify its not dangerous in any way.

*SO* I was Very Surprised to find that removing the restriction made such noticeable lever ease to over come front tire grip at will. Prior 2 restricted discs were dangerous as could not get tire to work hard > just terrifying delays I hoped I'd started slowing soon enough ahead of time, especially down hills, just going legal or even under speeds. Really made me question keeping Trixie as I'm committed to keeping her stock and if that proved not good enough to get in and out w/o terror then nothing left to fix, so best let someone else with more grip have a pure original. Of everything I've ever done to improve performance that mattered to me in a Commando > a cherry hot 6 penny nail was tool that did it. Next would be the tri-links and then the forks, then weight loss so less to haul down.

My hope would be someone double check my findings and help me understand what's happening. I do not know why it worked so well when all my training says it shouldn't either. I played hard as I dared on braking today, got the caliper too hot to touch half a second and tire almost as warm yet didn't wear my forearm or jaw muscles down doing it. I await reality checks form others as they happen please.
