jimbo,
It looks like something worth checking out if your interested in a 961. Those slip-ons are the SBN's. I have them on my 2013 SE and they sound real nice. With a few of the well known mods & "fixes" you could add later, you would have what appears to be a nice, practically new bike for a very reasonable price.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

And it is a Dual Seat looks like . This may be your opportunity .

Coronado, San Diego, California?? Might be owned by Navy personnel with no time to use it or work out its bugs. Only 370 miles on the clock.

At that price it would make a great second bike. Do you live in or near California Jimbo ?

Is there anything to know about a 2014 commando?
How are they different than a mk2?

I have called about this bike... Looks and sounds nice

Not much really , I have a 2014 Build date November 2014 , delivered Dec. 2014. I mean for the price ? Sure a brand new 2018 would be nice , but who will sell you one at this price ? Based upon our experience , this bike will have a SC ECU , and may need some other service updates like oil in air box fix and trans vent . No big deal. I have over 6k miles on my bike and expect to put many more on. If you want a Norton 961 , frankly this price is hard to beat even if the bike does need service. In my view a bike like this is a life long investment , you buy it , you love it and give it what it needs.

A New Bike will Have a OMEX ECU a different map , a larger cat section , different instrument faces , new finish Ohlins forks , ABS Brakes , No More single seat and small refinements that Norton discovered along the way. I hope this answers your question ..

I was also interested in this one, but it is no longer listed, so I assume someone bought it. Probably for the best, at least for me.

At that price .. I am surprised it lasted this long !

BTW: 2012 they had Omex ECU as well then later SC and now OMEX again...

I decided against buying it this morning...
Too many things that looked not right for a bike with only 370 miles.

Should be on CO again soon

It's back, and reduced to $9800.

Now I'm tempted again. Wonder how low he would go.

Oranges3, would you go into more detail on the things that didn't look right to you? Might save me a 7 hour round trip drive to check it out.

If you don’t buy it at that price, stop looking because you’ll never buy one. If I didn’t have mine I would go buy it. Take advantage of the winter pricing. He has gone low enough.

I agree that it's a great price, as long as there isn't a major problem with it, like needing to tear the motor down to fix something. That's all I'm trying to find out. There's very little info in the ad. I've sent the owner an email asking some questions, and if it still seems ok after he replies, I'll be going down to look at it with a pocket full of cash. Assuming someone else doesn't buy it first.

Do it Ken...

I can’t wait to buy all the billet alloy parts that LCR will offer within a few months of your ownership...!!
