Sorry - I was confused - This getting old business is not good for me:(

I was refering to the engine and frame numbers which are not the same as each other
but each matches the appropiate number in the V5C log book

Did engine and frame numbers for 850s match in 1974 ?

I must refer you to my original question. Do you mean the number stamped on the frame or the number on the certification plate?

The frame number I refer to is the one stamped on the red VIN plate
And the engine number stamped on the crank cases. Sorry if I’ve confused

Engine, gearbox and frame plate numbers would normally have matched.
