I have a Wideline fuel tank and need it chrome plated. I need to find an outfit to do a good job. Or find a nice chrome tank.
I bought an new East Indian tank and its a ten footer.

When I was young my first job was working at a chroming place, the problem you will have chroming a tank will weaken the metal and the welds, you could be opening a can of worms, some places might not go down that road and if they do it will be expensive and no garenteed that it will last and being a old tank could be even harder to do, but mine you I was 15 years old then and things might have changed, I only worked there for 1 year and I worked with the operator that pressed the button for the chrome tank, my job was to wash the parts as they came out of the chroming tank.

The chrome is badly finished ,its lumpy ,it doesn't fit very well, the lower edge is wrong. Perhaps there are other East Indian vintage bike tank manufactures that make a better product, but I can't keep buying tanks to find out. I could take some close up photos .

Where are you jimbo?

The midwest USA but send the tank anywhere (it looks like Canada is a good choice  )

Lumps in chrome can be ground down and polished, if the chrome is sound enough to permit this.
Tank looks good on your earlier pic there - at a distance anyway...
