No one ever actually owns a Vincent. They are like English stately homes...
Each generation merely acts as custodian, pouring all of their money into it, only to pass it onto someone else to do the same, repeat ad infinitum.
I think Vincent's were actually invented by the UK government as a long term initiative to drive the economy and provide a healthy profit to a large engineering cottage industry in the UK, and elsewhere.
The bike belongs to a guy in my local Norton club. He's getting ready to sell it and wanted to ensure that it's in tip top shape. Just going through the top end. Bike is gorgeous and doesn't need a restoration. I wish I had a spare $85K sitting around. Alas, I do not. Crap.

Altho it looks like a daunting project , and missing parts, it would be a great motorcycle.
