Every place, every thing in life has risks. For the most part, I've really enjoyed being here for 39 years, for over 30 of those we have some kind of ongoing volcanic eruption.
But now its really different; magma that had been relatively stationary near the summit has been moving underground, and erupting down slope, where all the news footage shows subdivisions and homes being lost. With that movement of magma, the ground has been shaking constantly for weeks on end, +400 earthquakes in the past 24 hours alone. Half the population in this district must have some degree of PTSD. Its not the end of the world, but maybe this little corner of it. Yikes!
