For custom pushrods contact Ken Canaga (Lcrken). I've been using the same materials as Ken and they never fail. He makes them for stock lifters.

Kibblewhite High Performance Pushrods (2017)

The steel pushrods do weigh more than the stock alum pushrods.

I wondered why Kibblewhite seem to no longer list the aluminium tube pushrods, could it be a sign, it is a risk I can not take.

I guess pulling the engine back out will give time to find Viton KW valve stem seals and remove the AE piston circlips to see if SS replacements are a tighter fit.
The carnage pic of the FB engine were very sobering, when it was posted initially with the top end removed (obvious piston seizing) I thought timing side oil seals failing (@ 600 miles) , not the gear and shaft shearing off for no oil supply, yikes.
Did a failing pushrod initiate all that.

I haven’t seen the picks, but its often not possible to separate cause from effect when doing a post mortem on a grenaded engine.

Man! You guys have me worried. I have less than break-in miles on my engine with K-white alloy push rods.

I suppose I will hear valve clatter if the cups disintegrate...... or will that be too late?

I will have to stay close to home ......no more transcontinental trips for me ......

Slick
