No, it's missing nothing... All fourteen screw holes and two locating dowel holes are as they should be on the AN piece, but as you point out, an extra hole near the drain bolt.... Why??

To drain the oil that gets behind the inside edge of the gasket. The gasket is a lot taller than the mating surfaces on the two primary halves.
I had to make full perimeter spacer for the primary to get a belt clutch inside that skinny short primary and I also included the drain hole so I could check whether or not oil was finding its was out of the crankcase into the primary. Hasn't been an issue though.

Aha! Fair point..... Thank you... Though looking at AN pics of case and gasket it will only be effective for 25% of the bottom run?
