Isn't that the object? Take your secrets to the grave and let the young bucks figure it out again, if they ever do? Actually they are getting better.

But then the products are so much different now.

Rohan, re lacqured alloy, I think you`ll find that was Honda`s deal, Kawasaki did do black coatings from time to time, but owning a number of triples, I can say that they are in my experience, unvarnished, mill-wise. As for paint , yes - all humanly applied, with many idiosyncratic variations in dimensions of stripes & etc.
Also, 4 discrete paint colours, but as you can see by the glossy finish, more than 4 - total coats sprayed..
