I have collected all the parts to make an inter back only to notice that MK3 frames are wider at the back and will need tapering down to fit the seat base, anyone come across this before?...…...

Not all Mk3 frames either. My Mk3 wore a Fastback tail section for years. No modification was necessary.

Taking an inch out and rewelding will give enough taper, a bit easier than widening the fiber glass base!
