Something that continues to mystify me is that 100% of the time with Triumph singles/twins or BSA singles I use copper head gaskets bare, never retorque them and they never leak even when annealing and re-using.I have never gotten a Norton bare copper head gasket to seal. I gave up on them rather than coating them with sealer. At some point I'll try again with CopperCoat but never with the other "recommendations".
