Ok - I've done my research, just looking to confirm with someone's recent experience.
To bring in a bike (much older than 15years) from the US to Ontario, I need to:
  • 1. Fax ownership and bill of sale to US customs 72 hours before the bike crosses (with me on my trailer)
    2. Take stamped paperwork to Canada customs - pay them
    3. register bike at MTO at my leisure

Does that sound right? Looking for any thoughts or comments on the process.

Thanks,
Phil

That is correct. Make sure you call US border to confirm they received paperwork. If its a bad fax or something goes wrong your new ride will site there for three days. Don't forget about the RIV you will need to do that as well. Good luck

Thanks - got back last night with two bikes on the trailer.
The Fax I sent in was ok - the Fax the the seller sent in for the second bike didn't materialize in the folder. The agent was nice but not too thorough, I spotted my Fax as he was closing the folder! So I wouldn't be surprised if they just lost or misplaced, or didn't see the second one.
I decided to just declare the second bike for spare parts. It's a '66 barn find and I think I'll be able to get a title on it with some creativity; RIV only applies to 15yrs or younger.
