Hi again Tony. So did you find cracks, or are you playing safe? Yes it will be interesting to see if they have the same issue.


If you do find its the same instead of taking a file to the discs and spacers ( if you have them) I think it would be better to remove the thread from below the head of the bolts to just over the thickness of the disc. That way you won’t have to touch the discs if you ever replace them. You would need to put all 6 bolts into the disc and tighten them in turn. The bolts will be no weaker. (I hope that makes sense). I only filed one disc last night, so will give this a go and report back.

I took 7mm of thread off, but it was still pretty fiddly even getting 2 bolts started and hold the disc and spacer up under the heads, so I decided to file the spacer as it will stay with the bike anyway and it went on. As the spacer is now clear anyway only 5mm of thread needs to be removed.
