For years, I've organized a raffle bike build for AHRMA for the Bonneville Vintage GP. We have built 4 CB-160s and this year we are building a BMW R75 Formula 750/BEARS bike. http://www.bonnevillevintagegp.com A bunch of buddies and I take an annual pilgrimage to San Jose, CA for the Clubman
All British Motorcycle Show and have been doing it for 10 years-nice break from our long Utah winters. This year we almost didn't make due to Caltrans
closing Donner Pass for a little bit of snow (in our view) and some racket where they make your buy chains for our snow tire equipped four wheel drive
SUVs and the trailer! After a 24 hour layover in Reno we finally made it there-luckily. I always buy raffle tickets for whatever bike the NCBSA Club
puts together since I know what an effort it is to put a bike together to raffle off. Imagine my surprise when I found out I actually one! It is a a 1969
BSA Firebird Scrambler built to a 100 point restoration by famed BSA builder Don Harrell and Mickey Peters. I've never won anything in my life and
after fighting a rare form of cancer this past year it makes it particurly sweet and hope it means a big turning point as 2010 was a pretty crappy year for me. So looking foward to a great year-managed to race at Willow a couple weeks ago and pulled a 3rd in Formula 750 on the Norton (out of eight) and two 4th places on Sunday in Formula 750 and BEARS. Anyway-heres a picure of my new bike.
