Hey guys!

I have a problem with my left handle. When the external humidity is high, I have an electric problem. My stop/start switch doesn't really work. I have to exhale heat with my mouth... yeah I know what you think... and seconds later, the bike start at first kick. When it's in the garage, no problem of course, it a heated garage.

What do you suggest? Putting some silicone between each part of the handle?

Thanks.

What about Dielectric grease? I would think that would help keep things good after cleaning with a good water repellent.

Plain ole WD40 is pretty good at that sort of thing too.

It does wear off after a while though...

Just going to throw my 2 cents in.

WD 40 is great for cleaning parts, it offer very little lubrication and goes away quickly. Dielectric grease is a silicone based grease, not petroleum based. It helps lubricant and keeps things water proof to a degree. Then there are products like De-Ox that resembles silicone grease but has additional chemicals that prevent corrosion. I like De-Ox for switch gear and connectors first and Dielectric grease second. I use Dielectric grease primary for spark plug wires. If I was to buy just one product it would be a silicone based product because it has a lot more uses than the De-Ox.
