I've used something similar called Lumi weld in UK. It works ok and is quite strong. But I don't think you could get the exhaust port clean enough to use this stuff without removing and blasting it.

Why bother about it? The hole isn't leaking out anywhere, so it doesn't matter.

If the heat has an edge to work at, I can imagine it may get worse over time with sustained use. But, I think you have a point x file that it is unlikely to get very worse very quickly, so, probably perfectly fine to leave it and enjoy the rest of the summer in the UK before having another look during winter.
