Hi,
I am probably being stupid here but can anyone tell me how to easily remove the pillion seat on a 2023 Solihull 961 Sport model.
If I pull the pillion and rider seat apart hard, probably harder than I am comfortable with, I can see the allen screw heads but it does not seem possible to get a tool on the allen screw head.
Any assistance very much appreciated.

Funny you ask, I am doing it just now.
First of all, pulling apart the seats is not necessary. It seems you have simply overlooked the way the main seat is installed. The rider seat is attached by one allen bolt from below on either side. They are underneath the seat and at an angle. You will see them if you look at the seat from below. Remove these by using a simple allen key. The seat comes right up. Underneath it, you will see the air filter, etc.
Next, use the same allen key to remove the two bolts (these are much shorter) under the forward facing side (under the Norton stitching) of the pillion seat which attach it to the rear bodywork of the bike, then slide it forward a bit. It will also come right off. Underneath, you will see the ABS pump, fuse box, etc.
The rear cowl attaches in exactly the same way as the pillion seat.
Did it work?

Hi,
Yes it works - a lesson to be learnt on my part in don't assume just because your previous bikes required the pillion seat to be removed before the rider seat all are the same!
Many thanks for the very quick response.
Ian

The seat retaining bolts are at an akward angle so easier to remove with one of those ball ended allen keys.
