But most opinions were that it was easier to build from the cases in the frame. As much trouble as it was to remove the head while in the frame, I thought it was worth trying. Suggestions of rubber bands and rags to hold pushrods in place didn't appeal to me.
I always take the time to look at what comes up in the searches when I start a new thread. I didn't really see anything about my proposed method, not to say it isn't out there.
Sorry if I offended anyone by sharing what worked for me. I thought that was the purpose of the forum...
