You might want to try 90 degrees.
If its from the weight of the bike on the center stand then 180 is best.
You might want to try 90 degrees.
Some years ago I mistakenly fitted REAR main rubbers as the front buffers and this made the bike much smoother especially from about 2500rpm. These rear rubbers are the same width but slightly smaller diameter to normal front buffers. I have now done the same on my '72 750 restoration and the bike is very smooth from much lower rpm. I guess that there is more engine shake at idle tickover but I don't do that often now and appreciate the much better smoothness at low rpm. I guess this is only possible on the old shimmed isolastics having separate rubbers.
