Handlebar switch locations and other problems

On a 1971 Norton. I need to know what the left handlebar switch operates and also the right handlebar switch?
Push buttons and flipper switch's ?
I know this sounds crazy but I am restoring this bike and the guy I purchased it from had everything apart.
Also I purchased the Lucas main and headlamp wiring harnesses. Some of the color coding on the wiring diagram doesn't match the
the wiring harnesses. Has anyone else have any problems with these harnesses? I purchased them from a British manufacturer.
This bike also has a Sparx ignition system with a Tympanim regulator 12V that replaces the rectifier and Zenor diode. Not sure how to wire all this together using the new Lucas wiring harnesses ?
Thanks.

Persevere . !

You need to dismantle & clean all the little brass / copper gubbins inside the switch clusters .

Fixing one up as a Kill Switch ( center on ) isnt a bad idea. Also a Headlight Flasher button .

Theres red plastic buttons / push switch . These do for kill , too . & retrofit.

The Contact Points want stoning square flat & aligned at contact. For best results .

Standard from the factory for '71 would be as described below, however, it seems dealers/owners would often swap the switch clusters over, later, the factory adopted the reversed switch layout, so fit according to preference.

Left-hand switch cluster:
Upper: Kill button
Middle 3 pos. toggle: Direction indicators/blinkers
Lower: Spare (would've been the starter button if the factory hadn't decided against fitting an electric starter at that time).

Right-hand:
Upper: Horn
Middle 2 pos.toggle: Headlamp Hi/Lo
Lower: Headlamp flasher

It's likely there will be some extra wiring intended for the Interpol (police/military model) which can be ignored. If there are any discrepancies between the actual circuit wiring colours and the diagram, then perhaps you could be more specific?

Sparx:

Assuming standard positive earth/ground, connect white/yellow (-) from the kill button to the "Igniter box" white wire.

Thank you for the information. I called the gentleman who sold me the Lucas wiring harness and he said I
was given the wrong wiring diagram. He will be sending me the correct one.
Thanks again.
