Too hard to say without seeing photos AN having records of the build.

I don't think the Kuhn bikes were typical / standardised.

Did your seller have any records? Those bikes are pretty unique, so you'd think they'd have records that follow the bike for provenance.

Gus Kuhn used to advertise in the back of Cycle magazine in the early 70's for US kids like me to drool over, buy a bike in England, ride around and ship back to the States. A lot of people were taking them over to ride around the continent too. All this for about the same price as you would pay buying it at home including airfare and return shipping for the bike. I remember seeing a lot of Gus Kuhn bikes around back then. There was a lot of what is now cool exotica like blue Rickman Metisse Enfields and Commando SSs. I did mine through Comerfords in Thames Ditton $1350 USD. It was about two hundred bucks more than a '71 leftover but I wanted the disk brake. Combat motor was just a bonus. I used money I put away working in a gas station for 2 summers. Instantly became a 21 year old bad boy. Not much different now hee hee.

Thanks for the reply, Grandpaul,;all I have in the way of provenance, is a reciept from Gus Khun Motors in South London for its first service, showing the current reg.no.to be correct.

Hi batrider, thanks for the info.you don't have any of those old back issues showing the Gus Khun adds.? Maybe not, but you still have your Norton, thats great. I also have a '38 Norton International, you know the one with girder forks !! some bike, but I can't stop it!
