The clutch action on my MK11 961 @4000 miles is still best described as Graunch and Grab. Never been a problem just a minor annoyance. I read that by changing the oil to a 20/50 or in this case a 10/60 fully synthetic eliminates this problem and sure enough it has. So far, 200 miles, and no clutch slip or any other problems as a result.

Having also read (I must stop doing this its costing me a fortune) about the occasional failure of the cam sensor I decided to buy one to keep as a spare, just in case.

I phoned my local Seadoo marine supplier, less than 10 miles from me, and as advised on the forum, quoted the part number BRP Rotax 420664045, which is the same cam sensor as fitted to the 961. In stock I pick it up Saturday.

So full synth oil eliminated your problem? That's great.
I wonder if the plates were just dirty as I thought full synth would prove too 'slippery' for them.

Getting my back after clutch basket change, but with same plates,so will definitely check it out.

The JASO MA standard should provide "wet clutch" approval . There are many non-synthetic , semi synthetic or full synthetic motor oils which are NOT "wet clutch" approved. Find JASO MA approval first , then desired weight , then Full syn or semi syn or non syn .
