I see all the fast moderns have streamlining in front of the sliders usually as part of the mudguard. Are there any examples applied to Roadholders. Any ideas to do so? I'm more concerned with turbulence than drag but both go hand in hand.

That Thing looks fearfully modern !
It mustve been built After the War .

seeing where there , http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt ... wQrQMwADgU

Seeing youve a penchant for compressors , would a screw jack need Isolastics to hold the head on ? .

Eventually the blown Triumph had a claimed capability of lapping the course at 122mph, with a top speed of 127mph, and Ivan decided to make his attempt at the 500cc lap record. On October 8, 1938, conditions were poor, with rain and a strong southwesterly wind, but the Hutchinson 100 race was likely the last possible venue for his speed record of that year (Brooklands records were generally recorded during a race, unless a long-distance speed attempt was undertaken). He was successful in taking the 500cc lap record at 118.02mph, which brought Mr. Wicksteed immortality, as the record still stands.

You must have spy ware to access such scope of old photo's and aritcles Mattt, cool.
You'll get caught eventually ya know. The old vtwin photo was informantive they knew the back side was more important. Been thinking about trailing feathers like my big bird's legs. At speed and states of looseness aero dynamic flight controls matter more than tire traction. I stick a knee out [not down] for an instance at times to snag air drag to help initiate tip into a turn but not when going really fast or knee gets knocked back into tank by the road.

A screw compressor has set ratio of boost to engine volume so has greatest effect on power packing pressure at low rpm and looses some it pressure puch as rpm builds so hi rpm race events not all that tough on head sealing, compared to a turbo type centrifugal blower the pressure curve goes up sharper steeper as rpm builds on throttle snaps. Every see bolts stretched to max as seams curl lips apart between them spraying jets of oil fog out?

I do dig the pipes on that blown Trumpet! Do you think there might be a little bit of rudder action going on back there once into the triple-digits?

The upside down forks have the vulnerable stanchions down low, closer to flying stone/sand. All have come to use a plastic debris guard, some ( as pictured) have incorporated a fender bracket into the design.
