Hi All,
with the gearbox already in place into the cradle, what is the best way to fit the engine into the frame?.
The front mount is better to fit to at soon to the engine or befor?.
Best to insert the motor on the right side or the left?.
Thanks.

I removed and refitted mine from the right hand side.
Wrapped a heavy towel around the front down tubes, had a jack under the frame with a wooden block which could come up between the bottom frame tubes, fitted the rear iso first using the jack to help location, used a ratchet tie down over the spine to lift the engine to fit the front iso. At least that's how i remember it - treat that as a rough guide only.
Made me grunt a bit lifting the engine in one piece.
best of luck

Just did this very same task a few days ago in the race bike , complete with cylinder head on, fit the front ISO to the crankcase, I use a trolley jack under the cradle where the gearbox is mounted to take the weight of the gearbox and cradle, lift the power unit in from the RHS, align top rear engine mount bolt, raise the jack so you can insert the lower most cradle bolt to clear the bottom frame tubes, lower the whole unit to align the front ISO to frame holes, I rely my 16 year old daughter as my assistant for the front bolt, align the rest of the mounting bolts , job done !!!

My race bike is supported with the back wheel off the ground by a roller frame on spools at the bottom of the rear shock absorbers, so maybe a little different than if using a centre stand on a road bike !!!

Regards Mike
