fav artists in different genres of music?

Just been listening to a great album called Lemmy/ Slim Jim/ Danny B, if your a fan of Motor Head you will love this album completely different and some great old songs, I have been giving it a caning of late.

Amyl (nitrate) and the Sniffers???

@Time Warp , I think you may have jumped to the left when you should have taken a step to the right!;)

I was bouncing around on YouTube and ran across a Tower of Power song - what is hip- covered by this Japanese girl band Tokyo Groove Jyoshi,..... Check it out. One of the band members plays a syamisen - (traditional 3stringed kind of banjo) - I think it's Freakin good! Tell me what you guys think?

Some Awesome stuff, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. He just left Philly, and I think he's heading to Aussie Land. Some folks are still raising their kids right.

Peter Frampton will be 72 in a week or so. Here's a couple of clips from his long career.

19 years old, with Humble Pie:

Out on his own, Frampton Comes Alive.

I like it. Really like the Bass being played like lead guitar - she is good. At first didn't care for the syamisen sound but I changed by the end - fit the song well.

Was in technical school on PEI when “ comes alive” available , a classmate had a cassette we spent a nice afternoon exploring the Island’s alternate energy attempts while giving it a listen , great album !

I know Right? I like that version better than Tower of Power's original, and I've started to follow Tokyo Groove Jyoshi or subscribed to their YouTube channel and the bass player Juna Serita. Until recently John Entwistle was my favorite Bass player, he's sure was good though! The Who wouldn't have been the same without him.

CJ - you didn't leave a link so looked up on youtube (not sure if its the same as yours)
Pretty good, but wasn't impressed by each instrument having their "turn" (never been impressed by solos) - otherwise pretty good!

The king on the third one has to be the introverted Eric!

English rock/blues at its finest. No nonsense, no frills. And a Hammond B3 strained through a Leslie. 1970.
