Hi guys,

I'm completing a reworking of my SE #129 here in Italy.
I'm considering to put on sale my factory open exhaust , very good conditions. I would send them preferably in Europe only.
Price 500€. Carlo

Realistically priced. Good man. Someone should snap them up.

yes, for euro 3 it requires 6500077_PR6_0116, as well if it is also good for euro 4

indeed I'm selling them because I would move to Hattech ones, for estethics reasons exclusively. Concerning the price, yes all of us know they cost more than double from Norton factory

They don't do one for Norton do they? Are you going for universal ones?

I assume you've seen the Theil Motorsport offerings?

the ones distribuited by Thiel are Hattech but now not more available from Thiel until summer end. I'm thinking to make some special project here in Italy, we have hundreds of specialists.

I have two exhaust systems from "Italian specialists"

Both Systems are not good.
The Zard System sounds like a frog and the other is ultra bad weldet.
The MASS System for my Corsaro Looks like weldet from a beginner.
The System from Ollie is developed together with Hattech and is produced only for Thiel Motorsport.
The price is not the double of the Norton open shit.
Ollie´s Systems are not cheap, thats true but the quality is 100% top.
The systems have DB killer so everyone can "tune" the sound level.
I have mounted the long open from Ollie with 60mm cone, it looks very well and sounds fantastic.
The big advantage is that the system is not touching the street. (much more angle)

I agree. The Nortons are shit since they started to make them in house. Sent my shorties back. Using a "rustic look" as an excuse for crap welding. Give me a break. Willing to bet the contracted ones were much better, but their ego and lack of funds led them to believe they could do the job themselves. So glad I have the South Bay Nortons. Never an issue, although one member had a cracking bracket issue.

I do not see that so bad quality in Norton Open, could be esthetically appreciated or not but are well welded and shaped, sure much better that South Bay imho. Concerning Hattech they are not especially developed for Norton Commando, have a look to their site you can buy the same as universal use, but ok look good also to me , simply they are not currently available to Thiel Motorsport

The Thiel ones are angled to match the Norton down pipes and provide the correct upwards angle and necessary clearance to shocks, chain, etc. They also have the necessary brackets welded on to mount them.

I cannot imagine the universal ones will be like this.

I’ve tried to show what I mean below. I believe fitting the universals will require some fabrication...

The Thiel exhaust are made from Hattech and only for Thiel Motorsport in cooperation between the companies.
The exhausts were made for the 961 and customized at the 961.
Some bikes from Ollie were several months at Hattech bevor Ollie gave his OK for the final version
No matte what some "know it alls" say
