Extreme Wear on Friction Plate Tabs

before spending a lot of money on an Atlas clutch , the Bob Newby belt drive and clutch assy is $800, only a bit more expensive than the AN new parts.
 
That's the way to go if I didn't already have most of the parts for the stock clutch. The belt drive I have on my 72 has been trouble free for 8 years now, my Atlas project is still some time off so who knows?
