Hello would one of you kind souls please show me a picture of how the muffler and pillion pegs are supposed to mount (Mk3 if it makes a difference) Pleeeease.
I've looked at the manuals and I'm buggered if I can figure it out.

the 2 screws on the left attach to the z-plate... the exhaust attaches to 2 holes on the right
 
Thank you Pelican you're a champion.
The bracket I have that attaches to the exhaust is different to the bracket on your set up, it has a bend and a cut out piece.
But I can see where it is supposed to go.

I don't think mine is stock... at least the one in the parts book looks different... but yeah, as long as you get the idea... :mrgreen:
