I'm moving along with reassembly and have gotten the wiring harness on the '74 in its general location...this brings up some questions......

Where are the following located on the bike (all from gp 29 in the parts manual):
# 19 - bracket, stop light lead
# 21 - master switch
# 25 - plug/socket
#30 - resister ballast
# 34 - capacitor 2mc
# 36 - warning light assimilator (I assume this is the flasher? Will an automotive flasher work as long as it has the correct number of terminals?)

I really appreciate the help I have been given so far by the forum members...I got this bike in pieces and have not been able to locate anyone nearby with a Norton.....without the guys on the forum, I would be lost, lost, lost!

Stop light lead bracket goes under one of the three footrest mounts nuts.
Plug/socket on RH side near rear iso mount
Capacitor goes on back sheet metal panel of frame, almost under the main spine
Warning light assimilater goes above left exhaust rocker cover, not a flasher

Bolts to the underside of the coil bracket (Assuming points ignition-the ballast resistor is not required for electronic ignition).

No. The factory manual explains (Section J8):
