This is my painted front drum using Eastwood's Alumablast. The drum was beadblasted and primed with zinc chromate prior to the topcoat. The red stand is a homemade rearlift. Worked great for lacing the wheel.

I've had a Triumph hub I painted with that stuff a while back and it looks fine. It seems to hold up well.

Thats good news. I wondered about the durability. Eastwood seems to sell pretty good products overall . I like the ability to touch up a ding or scratch easily and not have to keep the Al polished. I will have primary, tranny and camchain covers polished oh, and the head's covers. It turned out a little duller than I expected. Can't tell by the picture.

I think Wurth makes something similar. I used the Wurth product to spray my intake manifold and it looks really good. I don't think I can get Eastwood up here in Canada so I'm unfamiliar with it. The spray on the Wurth product is kind of nuts though as it has about a 4' high pressure stream of paint shooting out.

I use Wurth products to keep my BMW looking good. They make some n ice ones but quite pricey here. I have some of the same corrosion issues as I'm not far from SF Bay and some of this stuff really helps.
